On 8 March we chose to talk to the children not only about the beauty of the day but also about what it means.
In our activities we discovered together important women from Romanian history — women who left behind courage, intelligence, hard work, sensitivity and strength. For a child, a name in a textbook stays a name; a story about someone who did something difficult, at a time when it was far from easy, becomes a landmark.
At the same time we talked about mothers. About their love, their boundless care, the patience, gentleness and strength with which they accompany a child at every step of growing up. For little ones, a mother is the first support, the first embrace, the first safe place — which is exactly why it is so hard to put into words.
At PlusKids we want children to grow up not only with information, but with respect, gratitude and good values in their hearts. And 8 March is a good occasion to remind them how important the women in their lives are.
Happy day to all the women, mothers and grandmothers who make the world lovelier every day!
