At PlusKids, "after school" means more than homework.
We do not limit ourselves to supervising children after lessons. Our team teaches, explains, works one-to-one and creates educational activities that help children understand and catch up on whatever they did not manage to absorb at school. The difference between the two approaches shows most clearly in the child who has lost the thread somewhere: if nobody spots where it broke, each new piece of homework gets harder, and the child ends up believing they are "no good at maths". That is almost never the problem.
We are constantly preparing our own materials, games and worksheets matched to each child's age and level. A worksheet written for the right group does half the work: hard enough to demand effort, but not so hard as to discourage.
What counts for us is the children's real progress, not simply the time spent at after school. A child can sit at the table for four hours without moving forward at all — and can take an important step in twenty minutes, if someone is beside them at exactly the right moment.
PlusKids is a place where every child is understood, supported and encouraged to succeed.
