The PlusKids team attended the conference "A team beside you", hosted by Oana Moraru, a teacher and education consultant.
We keep working on ourselves, and taking part in events like this lets us stay current with what is being discussed and tried in education right now. An after-school programme can run for years on inertia without anyone noticing that it has fallen behind — precisely because the immediate results still look fine. That is why we find it useful to step out of our own classroom from time to time and see how others work.
The most valuable things at a conference are usually not the spectacular ideas but the practical details: how to run a homework session with children of different ages, how to raise a delicate observation with a parent, what to do with a child who refuses to start. Details like these are best learned from people who have already tried them.
We are proud to be part of a community full of energy and ideas, and we remain determined to give the children the best educational experiences we can build.
