Today we want to show you the lovely things our children are learning, beyond homework and exercise books.
They discovered the secrets of balanced eating and found out things that matter for a healthy life. Conversations about food have one particularity at their age: if they stay at the level of rules — this is good, that is not — they are quickly forgotten. If they start from what the children actually eat and how they feel afterwards, they stick. That is how we chose to work.
And fresh fruit has meanwhile become the star of our days. The snack is not merely a break between activities: it is the moment when everything discussed gets applied without any further explanation. The children choose, compare, tell one another what they like and, out of curiosity, try something they would never have picked at home. In a group, an unfamiliar fruit stands a far better chance of being tasted than in your own kitchen.
We are convinced that good eating habits form exactly like this, through natural repetition and the example of those around you, not through insistence. And the smiles with which they set about their snack are the best confirmation that it works.
