What did the children's day look like at Summer School, where adventure and learning come together in a single programme?
The morning began with an energetic warm-up, followed by a healthy fruit snack. Then came the morning activities, in which the children learned through play and built their skills: creativity, critical thinking, social abilities. The English lesson, taught by our Cambridge-certified teacher, was also in the morning. That is no accident: sessions that demand concentration belong at the start of the day, when a child is rested, and those that demand energy come later.
Next was the lunch break, with a nourishing meal served in a cheerful atmosphere. Lunch is not merely a pause for food: it is the stretch of the day when the children sit together, talk and get to know one another — the part that binds the group.
The afternoon had a different shape. It opened with the holiday theme led by the teachers, for continuous learning and help with any schoolwork, and then came free time to play with the other children, with the ideas and games we provided for developing imagination and motor skills. That alternation — one structured part, one free — is what keeps a long day from becoming tiring.
Healthy eating has always mattered at PlusKids: on every summer day we provided seven kilograms of fresh fruit for the children, to keep them energetic and full of vitamins.
Every day was full of adventures and memorable moments, with learning and fun going hand in hand.
