What a wonderful evening we had together for Halloween!
The children were thoroughly enchanted: they paraded in spectacular costumes, took part in a procession full of colour and cheer, played funny games, made the most original themed crafts and, of course, enjoyed the sweets.
The costumes deserve a word of their own. The best ones were not the shop-bought ones but those improvised at home from whatever was to hand — because behind them you could see an idea and an evening's work with a parent. The parade gave everyone the chance to be looked at and applauded which, for a shy child, matters more than it might seem.
The themed crafts brought in the dexterity: cutting, gluing, matching colours. And the games were designed to involve everybody, not only the quickest — at a party, nobody should be left on the sidelines.
Smiles, energy and fun enough to last a week. At PlusKids, every celebration becomes a lovely memory.
