Happy National Day, Romania. Happy National Day to all Romanians.
We marked the National Day too, the day of the Great Union of 1 December 1918. In primary school this celebration is best explained through what can be seen: the colours on the flag, the map on which borders shift, the songs the children already know from home.
We talked about what union means — provinces inhabited by people who spoke the same language and who chose to make a single country.
A day of tricolour, good cheer and the pride of being together.
