Mother's Day workshop: a flowerpot painted with their own hands

1 photo

At the workshop for Mother's Day, the children painted a small flowerpot with flowers — a present made with their own hands for the most important person in their lives.

An object painted by a child carries a value no bought gift can match, and children know this perfectly well. That is why they work with such seriousness: they take an age choosing colours, get cross at a smudge outside the outline and ask to fix it. Along the way they practise, without noticing, fine motor skills, patience and attention to detail.

During the workshop we also talked about remarkable women in history, and about the special role a mother plays in every child's life — the first person who teaches us what love, care and patience mean.

It was a workshop full of creativity, emotion and smiles, and every child went home with a gift made from the heart.
