In the reading workshop, the children stepped into the fascinating world of "Alice in Wonderland".
Starting from pictures, we identified and discussed the main ideas of the text, practising comprehension, forming answers, speaking aloud and putting events in logical order. The activity continued with a story map — a simple and highly effective tool through which the children consolidated the narrative thread and saw, drawn out on paper, the relationships between the key moments. In a book where logic turns upside down on every page, that map is the difference between having read it and having understood it.
In the hands-on part we painted a little house inspired by the Mad Hatter's tea party, developing creativity, fine motor skills and attention to detail.
We also folded in a practical exercise on telling the time — a natural link, starting from the White Rabbit's watch, which reinforces useful ideas about orientation in time and logical thinking.
It was a workshop that brought together reading, expression, imagination and hands-on learning in a way that was engaging and genuinely meaningful for the children.
